Jeffrey Rosenberg, M.D., Ph.D. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiologic Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He then entered the Medical Scientist Training Program (M.D./Ph.D. combined degree program) at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. After an internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, Dr. Rosenberg completed his anesthesiology residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and a fellowship at Johns Hopkins in Critical Care Medicine. Following training, he was invited to remain with the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and was promoted to Assistant Professor where he directed a funded laboratory studying the molecular genetics of brain tumors, and was an attending physician in the surgical, neurologic, and cardiac intensive care units.
Dr. Rosenberg returned home to the Detroit area where he completed advanced training in pain medicine and is currently board certified in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and pain medicine. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Rosenberg was a member of the Board of Directors of one of the largest anesthesiology groups in the United States while serving as one hospital’s chief of the Department of Anesthesiology, where he started a very successful pain clinic before putting together the exceptional team at Prizm Pain Specialists.
